The Governing Board of the National Teaching NTC) was on Thursday the 13th of January 2022 inaugurated in Accra at the Minister of Education’s conference room.

The new Board has the onerous task of using their experience in education to help carry through the ongoing teachers reforms, particularly, the regulation of the teaching profession. Regulation of the teaching profession is the core mandate of the Council.
The Board is chaired by Mr. Anis Haffar.
Other members of the Board are Dr. Christian Addai-Poku (Registrar of NTC), Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Owusu Oduro, Mrs. Catherine Appiah-Pinkrah , Dr. Edward Appiah, Mr. Sampson Damptey,
Dr. Haggar Hilda Ampadu, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, Ps. Thomas Baafi, Mr. Stanislaus P. Nabome and Dr. Benedict Osei Owusu
Governing Board took oath of office as well as oath of secrecy.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, who inaugurated the Board at a short ceremony held tasked the members to bring their expertise to bear on the work to enable them provide the right quality of teachers for our schools.
“NTC is one of the agencies that has drawn a lot of attention due to the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) and I charge you all on this day to go and make a difference in making the council the best”.
The chairman of the board, Mr. Anis Haffar on behalf of the other board members expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic and the Minister of Education. He pledged members’ total commitment to accomplishing the Council’s mandate and making it one of the best on the Continent and even beyond.
