The Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, on July 15, 2025, inaugurated a newly constituted Governing Board of the National Teaching Council in Accra, asserting the government’s resetting agenda in the area of professionalising teaching in Ghana and teacher motivation.

The 15-member board, chaired by Mr. Emmanuel Kwami Alorvi, an astute educationist and a former teacher union leader and others include representatives from various sectors of education, and government institutions.

The Board was charged to see to the smooth implementation of all the Council’s mandate.
